About
My name is George Stevenson, and I teach students how to design, code, and create in the digital world. I work with learners from middle school to college, guiding them through programming, graphic design, web design, AI, and creative technology. I believe in learning by doing, experimenting, and building projects that matter.
I’m passionate about helping students discover their strengths and develop the skills they need to bring their ideas to life.
My Experience
I bring years of experience in both education and creative technology. I have taught middle school, high school, and college students in subjects such as computer science, web design, graphic design, and AI. Outside the classroom, I have worked as a professional designer, web developer, and creative consultant, which allows me to bring real industry practices directly into my lessons. My students benefit from hands-on learning that reflects current trends and professional standards.
My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy centers on creativity, exploration, and real-world relevance. I believe students learn best when they build, design, and solve problems that feel meaningful to them. I create learning experiences that blend structure with freedom, giving students opportunities to experiment, collaborate, and discover their own strengths. Whether students are coding a game, designing a brand, creating a website, or exploring AI, I want them to feel confident, supported, and challenged.
My Commitment to Students
I am committed to creating a classroom environment where all students feel valued, capable, and motivated to grow. I believe every learner can succeed with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. I teach with energy, empathy, and high expectations, helping students push past limitations and discover what they are truly capable of.
My Why
My Why comes from my own journey. Technology and design gave me opportunities I never knew existed, and I want my students to experience that same sense of empowerment.
Simon Sinek says that people follow those with a clear purpose. My purpose is clear. I teach to give students confidence, voice, and access to skills that can change their lives.
Teaching computer science, web design, and graphic design is simply my What. Project-based learning, creativity, and hands-on exploration are my How.
But my Why is bigger: I want every learner to realize they can create something meaningful in this world, no matter where they start.
